Coffee Aim’s crux:
Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce is a blend of light-dark roasted Latin American Arabicas and Ugandan Robusta beans. I can not give up my cup of joe because caffeine withdrawal can cause me to be irritable and impatient and experience mild headaches. Nespresso coffee makes you active and fulfills your caffeine need in the comfort of your home. Compared to Starbucks and Keurig K-cup pods, Nespresso capsules deliver well-balanced, delicious, and perfect coffee cups with dense crema.

One of the Nespresso pods, i.e., Double Espresso Dolce, delivers smooth drinks with mild and sweet notes. Let’s study this pod in detail.

Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce Vertuo Taste Test

I opened my Dolce Vertuo pods which I ordered from Amazon. They were similar to Double Espresso Chiaro pods in coloring. They had a dark brown, golden metallic color. I brewed a Dolce Vertuo pod with my Nespresso Vertuo machine. It smelled amazing; I got warm aromas of sweetness like a cookie or cake. I folded the crema in the double shot and took a sip; I felt rich, fruity notes on my palate. My drink had oil and a bit of bitter notes. However, it was a good double espresso shot.

After this, I frothed the milk and added it to the Dolce shot. When I tasted it, I felt the fruity notes faint, and the rich biscuity and cereal notes hit my palate. The milk made my drink smooth, sweet, and creamy. Overall it was a good coffee cup with decent flavors.

Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce delivers well-balanced and mild beverages. Brew it with or without milk; these pods always amaze you. You can pair your recipes with berries, cheese toast, or Nutella crepes.

What We Like What We Don’t Like
Sweet aroma  Not best for bitter or intense coffee lovers
Balanced, smooth, and round coffee cup
Low bitterness, intensity, and acidity
Fruity, malted, and cereal flavor
Nutty finish

Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce Vertuo Features — An In-Depth Insight

Below are the main attributes of the Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce Vertuo pod. These features differentiate these double espresso pods from all other Vertuo pods. These characteristics also make you understand when you should brew with these pods and whether it is best for you or not. Let’s study its features in detail.

Origin — Latin American Arabicas And Ugandan Robusta

Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce is a blend of Latin American Arabicas and Ugandan Robusta beans. Latin American Arabica beans add a delicious malty toasted cereal note that sings above this beautifully balanced cup. The Ugandan Robusta rounds out the coffee and softens its sweetness. This exceptionally smooth double espresso is a harmonious song to your palate.

Roasting Level — 2 out of 5

In Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce, the beans are split-roasted. The beans are roasted light and short in the first batch, while the second batch (combination of Arabicas and a touch of Robusta) are roasted dark for a slightly longer period. The secret behind this smooth and mild double espresso is its masterful blending and split roasting

Aroma — Sweet aromatic profile

When I brewed split roast Dolce coffee, I got a sweet scent reminiscent of cookies or cake. You can also pick up the hints of delicious malty toasted cereal notes. This aroma gives you a taste of the sweet life and makes your day enjoyable.

Acidity — 2 out of 5

When I tasted my Dolce double espresso, I felt some acidic notes across my tongue’s middle. This mild acidity was enjoyable and did not make my drink harsh. The smooth and mild blend of Latin American Arabicas and Ugandan Robusta gives a round and balanced cup with malted cereal notes and a slight hint of fruit.

Bitterness — 2 out of 5

My Dolce coffee had low bitterness. But when I added milk, it took away all its bitter notes and revealed cereal notes and sweet biscuit notes. The light roasted Arabica and Robusta beans add soft notes and do not deliver bitter or intense beverages.

Body — 2 out of 5

Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce adds a light body but delivers well-balanced and round coffee cups. The fine blend of Arabica and Robusta delivers smooth double shots with delicious malty notes. The addition of milk makes your drink creamy and reveals sweet notes.

Flavor — Cereal & Malted

Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce delivers flavored coffee. When I brewed double shot, I got rich, fruity notes and a bit of sour taste, but when I added frothed milk, it fainted the fruity notes and revealed sweet and cereal notes. Double Espresso Dolce embodies the sweet life and delivers a perfect start for the day.

Intensity — 5 out of 13

The light roasting of Latin American Arabicas and Ugandan Robusta beans add mild intensity. Dolce does not deliver intense and dark beverages. It makes your evening or noon enjoyable with smooth and mild coffee cups.

However, if you like intense double shots, you can search for two other famous double espresso pods such as;

Caffeine Content — 100-120 mg

Nespresso always fulfills your caffeine needs with its wide range of pods. These pods do not allow you to run to the coffee shop and give you a perfect start for the day. Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce is a Vertuo double espresso pod containing 100-120 mg of caffeine. Still, this caffeine content delivers smooth beverages with mild and sweet notes.

Finish — Nutty and Balanced

When I finished my Dolce double shot, I got a fruity and bitter aftertaste. When I tried this pod with milk, I got a sweet finish. In both cases, I got a smooth and lingering drink. Nespresso Double Espresso Dolce Vertuo pods deliver well-balanced and round coffee cups with a pleasant aroma and malty, cereal, and fruity notes.
