Nespresso Intenso Review 2023

Spread the love

Great ideas start with brainstorming, and good ideas start with coffee. Every morning needs a little jolt to help wake you up and get you through the day. True coffee lovers start their day with a perfect coffee cup and get lost in its aroma and flavor. So energize your day with the Nespresso Intenso Vertuo pod without rushing to the coffee shop in the morning. I also brewed coffee with Starbucks Nespresso coffee pods, but I found it harsh or burnt. So, I preferred to start my morning with Nespresso pods as they deliver smooth and balanced coffee cups. Below is the detail of my bewildering experience with one of the Nespresso opulent pods, i.e., Nespresso Intenso. Whether you are a New York, USA resident or not, you will like this pod. Let’s scroll.

The Bottom Line

Nespresso Intenso Vertuo coffee pods deliver dense, deep, full-bodied, lingering dark roast coffee with intensity nine and chocolatey notes. It blends washed Guatemalan Robusta and Mexico and Latin American Arabica beans. This blend adds light acidity and luxuriates your cup with strong toasted and brown sugar notes. The addition of milk adds caramel notes to the rich and complex long black coffee.

Nespresso Intenso Dark Roast Coffee Taste Test

The Nespresso VertuoLine Intenso coffee capsules have a classic brown look. It is a Vertuo pod, so I brewed it with a Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe machine. While brewing, it smelled good, and the dripping of coffee excited me, and I just wanted to taste it quickly. Once done, the rich toasted aromatic profile touched my nose and hinted at South American Arabicas. The crema was dense, and the dark color hinted at nine intensity. The brown sugar and toasted notes danced on my palate when I tasted it. I also felt a bit of bitterness on the front of my tongue. The drink was heavy, rich, well-balanced, and had a thick texture and bitter aftertaste. I enjoyed the drink a lot, and it became my morning coffee as I preferred to drink strong coffee in the morning. Overall, the flavor was decent.

I also brewed iced coffee with Nespresso Intenso Vertuo pod; I frothed the milk and added it to the brewed Intenso coffee and ice cubes. I took a sip and felt the brown sugar flavor. The molasses flavor stayed for a long time and made the drink linger. The drink was heavy, rich, and good.

So, the Nespresso VertuoLine Intenso coffee capsules deliver outstanding cups of coffee with or without milk. Brew cappuccino or pair it with chocolate; it will never disappoint you. Once you brew it, you will make it a part of your morning routine.

Nespresso Intenso Features

I have discussed some important features of Nespresso VertuoLine Intenso coffee capsules. These attributes differentiate Nespresso Intenso from all other Nespresso Vertuo pods. The drink quality, aroma, flavor, and finish enable us to understand what time is best for Intenso brewing. Let’s dive into the details of these features.

Origin — Guatemalan Robusta and Latin American Arabica beans

Nespresso Intenso is a blend of Guatemalan Robusta, Mexico, and Latin American Arabica beans. This intense blend gives Intenso rich roasted notes and a lingering finish.

Roasting Level — 5 out of 5

In Nespresso Intenso, the beans are split-roasted. The Mexico and South American Arabicas are roasted dark and add low acidity and preserve the brown sugar aromatic profile of the drink. The Guatemalan Robusta are roasted for a longer time and deliver bold and bitter notes.

Aroma — Intense And Roasted Notes

While brewing, the pleasant aroma of Nespresso Intenso Vertuo pod fills the room. When I smelled it, the rich roasted cocoa notes soothed my nose. The aroma was intense and robust. I felt as if a chocolatey world was created around me.

Acidity — 1 out of 5

Nespresso VertuoLine Intenso coffee capsules have low acidity. The dark and short roasting of Arabica beans decreases acidity and delivers dark and dense coffee at night. The sweet caramelly notes balance its acidity till the last sip and do not make your drink acrid or harsh.

Bitterness — 4 out of 5

When I took a sip of my Intenso coffee, I felt dark roasted notes and a bit of bitterness on the tip of my tongue. The bitterness stayed for a long time. The bitter cocoa notes add bitterness to the drink and are best for true coffee lovers who drink intense and bitter coffee in the morning.

Body — 5 out of 5

When I brewed Intenso coffee, there was a dense crema on the top. When I tried to mix it, it was unexpectedly thick. When I took a sip of this dark-roasted coffee, I felt it strong, heavy, and rich on my tongue. The high temperature and intermediate flow rate balance its body to the end. Although the drink was heavy, it was smooth and deep as well. I drank the whole cup in no time.

Intensity — 9 out of 14

In Nespresso Intenso, the Robusta and Arabica beans are dark roasted. This blend delivers strong character and intense drink. When I brewed this great pod, it delivered me intense long black coffee with dark color, thick crema, and ashy and crabony notes.

Caffeine content — 170-200 mg

Nespresso coffee Vertuo pods have an average of 200 mg caffeine content. This content is enough to fulfill your caffeine needs and make you active for the whole day. Nespresso Intenso has high caffeine content, i.e., 170-200 mg, and allows you to jumpstart your day with bold and strong coffee cups.

Finish — Golden Brown Sugar notes

When I finished my Intenso coffee, I felt a bit of bitterness on the front of my tongue. The rich roasted and bitter cocoa notes added bitterness to my drink. When I added milk, the bitterness faded, and sweet caramelly notes made my drink linger. Nespresso Intenso has become my favorite morning coffee. Brown sugar and strongly toasted notes bring a singular signature to this dark-roasted coffee.

Nespresso Intenso Flavor — Roasted And Chocolatey

Nespresso Intenso delivered me a complex and good coffee cup; each sip allowed me to experience a new flavor. I took sip after sip, and intense roasted, chocolatey, carbony, and ashy notes danced on my palate. The dense crema and smooth texture sat luxuriously on my tongue. My experience with this Nespresso Vertuo pod was amazing, and I felt my single cup was a bouquet of various coffee flavors.

Nespresso Intenso Caffeine Content

Nespresso Intenso has high caffeine content i.e 170-200 mg. The high caffeine content delivers strong, intense black coffee and improves your morning. On the other hand, the high caffeine content can cause many serious problems such as high heart rate, headache, etc. If you are caffeine sensitive and avoid caffeinated beverages, brew your drinks with Nespresso decaffeinated coffee capsules such as Melozio Decaffeinato, Fortado Decaffeinato, _ Decaffeinato, Intenso, etc.

However, Nespresso VertuoLine Intenso coffee capsules are best for you if you are okay with high caffeine content and like strong and intense coffee in the morning. For more details, keep scrolling down.
