Nicaragua Nespresso Coffee Pod Taste Test

I unboxed the pack of these pods. My Nicaragua Master Origin coffee capsule had a golden brown color and it was quite eyeballing. It was an Original pod, so I brewed it with my Nespresso Creatista Plus machine. The color of the espresso shot hinted at an intensity of 5. I felt a subtle toast aroma. As I took a sip, the smooth texture and rich taste surprised me. I felt earthy and nutty notes on my palate. My drink had a traditional coffee taste and blew my mind. The pleasant sour aftertaste made my cup more enjoyable.

When I tasted this blend as a lungo, I did not find it enjoyable. It was flat, and I left it after a couple of sips. So, if you want a long drinking experience with a stronger taste, extract two shots of Nicaragua. However, I got a subtle flavor and aroma when I added frothed milk. It wasn’t easy to detect the tasting notes other than a gentle, sweet taste (honey). My coffee was smooth and pleasant.

You can brew this blend for breakfast or at any time of the day. It goes well with sweet and zesty food such as crisp cardamom rolls and butter. If you love lighter roasts, Nicaragua will suit you.

Nicaragua Nespresso pods allow you to brew a 1.35 oz traditional espresso coffee beverage. You can also try it as a 3.7 oz lungo and with milk. Create endless recipes, such as latte macchiato, cappuccino, etc., with these espresso capsules and make your day enjoyable. These capsules are compatible with Nespresso OriginalLine machines

These capsules from the Master-Origin Line are fully recyclable with a Nespresso recycling program.

What We Like What We Don’t Like
Pleasant nutty and complex aroma Not best for dark-roast coffee lovers
Work well with milk, cream, and sweeteners.
Enjoyable acidity, bitterness, and intensity
Honey, earthy, and sweet cereal notes
Satisfying sour finish

Nespresso OriginalLine Nicaragua Capsule Features — An In-Depth Insight

The image highlights features of the Nespresso Nicaragua OriginalLine Pod for our

Here are the main attributes of Nicaragua Nespresso coffee capsules. These features differentiate this blend from all other Nespresso capsules. These characteristics make you understand whether this medium-roast coffee pod is meant for you and many other things. Let’s scroll.

Origin — Nicaraguan Arabicas

What is Nespresso Nicaragua? Master Origin Nicaragua is a blend of black honey-processed Nicaraguan Arabica beans. These beans add a smooth, honeyed texture and sweet cereal notes to your cup.

Roast Level — 2 out of 5

In Nespresso Nicaragua, the beans get a split roasting. The medium and slightly shorter roast keeps this blend in balance.

Aroma — Nutty And Balanced

As soon as I brewed Nespresso Nicaragua medium-roast coffee pods, I got a mild aroma. Although gentle, it was complex. The fruity and subtle toast scent surprised me and reminded me of toasted bread with honey spread.

Acidity — 2 out of 5

My Nicaraguan drink was a nectarous coffee, having hints of acidity. The low acidity added mild notes and made my cup enjoyable.

Bitterness — 2 out of 5

My Nicaraguan medium-roast coffee touched my tongue with mild bitterness. The subtle bitterness made my coffee enjoyable and did not add harsh notes.

Body — 3 out of 5

Although my Nicaraguan medium-roast coffee was light, it was well-balanced. The thin crema was not persistent. However, the smooth, silky texture covered my tongue and gave me a pleasant mouthfeel.

Flavor — Honey And Sweet Cereal

What does Nespresso Nicaragua taste like? Nicaragua Master Origin offered me a complex coffee. Each sip unfolded a new flavor and amazed me. On my first sip, the earthy and nutty notes graced my palate. As I go beneath this nectarous coffee, the sweet taste of honey spreads in my mouth. Unique taste and a great cup!

Finish — Sour And Woody

The thing that surprised me in my bitter Nicaraguan coffee was its afternote. Despite the sweet taste, it offered me a pleasant sour finish. The coffee was smooth and lingering. Black Honey processing is a rare process, calling for meticulous monitoring. This blend with Black-Honey processed Arabica offers a smooth, honeyed texture and sweet cereal notes.

Nespresso Nicaragua Intensity — 5 out of 13

Nespresso Nicaragua offers light and smooth beverages with low intensity. The mild intensity makes it perfect for milk beverages. This Nespresso coffee blend is split roasted with a medium and slightly shorter roast, keeping it balanced. The black-honey process creates a nectarous coffee. Brew this pod with your Nespresso machine and make your day pleasant.

Nespresso Nicaragua Roast And Ground Coffee Caffeine Content — 77-85 mg

Master Origin Nicaragua has 77-85 mg caffeine content. The high caffeine gives you a kick similar to dark roast, while the light roast level adds subtle and sweet notes. The Black-Honey processed Nicaraguan Arabica adds nectarous sweetness. A sip of Nicaraguan coffee is as smooth as honey.

Nespresso Nicaragua Strength

What Strength Is Nespresso Nicaragua? Nicaragua Master Origin delivers well-balanced beverages with low strength. It lacks character and body; however, Black-Honey processed Arabica gives this coffee its smooth, honeyed texture and sweet cereal notes.

What Is Black Honey Procedure?

The outer flesh from the Arabica coffee is removed during coffee production, and the beans are spread to dry in a thin layer. It is similar to natural process coffees except that with the honey process, the sticky mucilage is left hugging the coffee bean. The farmers rake and rotate the coffee with daily diligence. They mix these incredibly sticky coffee beans to develop only good flavors. The fruit’s natural sugar goes deep into the bean during drying, called the black honey process, producing satiny sweetness.

To create a nectarous coffee, black honey processing is a rare process, so all craftsmen do not dare. It is not a standard process as it calls for meticulous monitoring. Nespresso Nicaragua with ‘Black-Honey’ processed Arabica offers a smooth texture and sweet cereal notes, making your day enjoyable.
