I opened the sleeve of my capsules; all the pods looked nice. My Venezia pod had a golden color and dark swirls. I brewed it as an espresso shot with my Nespresso Essenza Plus coffee machine. It smelled delicious and had light crema. I tasted it and found it good. The berry and cereal notes hit my palate, and I got a bitter finish. It was not thick; however, it was a nice shot.
When I tried it as a ristretto. I felt a dark and intense aromatic profile. I took a sip, and I was surprised. The flavor profile was changed. It was full-bodied, and caramel notes were coming through. It was bitter and had hints of tart and berry flavor. Overall, it was a pleasant ristretto shot.
Next, I added brown sugar to the milk, frothed it, and added it to the brewed ristretto shot. The drink looked nice. When I tasted it, I found the milk mellowed its intense profile. It was a balanced and smooth cappuccino cup with enough coffee flavor.
Venezia Nespresso pod is a perfect blend for morning or coffee breaks. It goes well with dark chocolate bitterness, berries, or butter croissant. This OriginalLine pod brews 0.85 oz ristretto/1.35 oz espresso shots. It works with only Nespresso OriginalLine machines.

Nespresso Venezia is a blend of Brazilian and Colombian Arabica beans and African Robusta coffee. Nespresso honors the distinct heritage by crafting this blend. Italy’s most significant coffee import is Brazilian Arabica so Nespresso experts began here. They blended it with high-grown Arabicas from Colombia for its malty, fruity profile, finalizing it with a touch of African-washed Robusta for an extra zing. These elements combine to give a delicate and round cup, true to the Venetian tradition.
This Northern city is skilled in blending and roasting. It roasted its coffees lighter, so in Ispirazione Venezia, the beans get a medium-dark roast. This roasting results in a rounded mouthfeel and mellowed acidity with just a hint of bitterness.
The delicious aromatic profile filled my room when I brewed the Venezia Nespresso pod. This scent refreshed my mind, although I did not pick up any flavor; however, you can feel the sweet biscuit scent.
My Venezia shot had subtle acidity, but it was in the form of a tart taste. These acidic notes came from the berry flavor, not the coffee itself.
I felt a hint of bitterness in my Venezia espresso shot. However, as I brewed a ristretto, the rich, pleasant bitter notes covered my tongue and gave me a feeling of a bold cup.
My Venezia espresso shot was light-bodied and had light crema that disappeared quickly. However, the ristretto shot was full-bodied and well-balanced. It had a thick texture and gave me a pleasant mouthfeel.
Nespresso Venezia offered me a slight, bitter aftertaste. The finish was pleasant and made my cup enjoyable. Venice port first delivers coffee to Italy. The Venetians have a finely tuned ability, they knew their unroasted coffee beans, and soon, they became master blenders. Before Italy’s first coffee shops and houses, their roasters served their blends. Ispirazione Venezia gets its inspiration from Venetian roasters and celebrates Italy’s local coffee tradition with a roast, combining the Ottoman influence’s intense notes and the highly aromatic European coffee profiles.
These influences came with the Venetian traders importing coffee to Italy. The city acted as a bridge for Ottoman culture, and soon the port bustled with master roasters and blenders. Over the centuries, Venetian roasters honed their craft and passed it down through generations. Nespresso experts gave Venezia the longest roast to determine how Venetian roasters combine intense and aromatic coffees in symphonic harmony.

Do All Pods Fit All Nespresso Machines? Nespresso OriginalLine pods are only compatible with OriginalLine machines. They do not work with Vertuo pods or Keurig K-cup capsules.
Nespresso discontinued many old OriginalLine and VertuoLine machines. However, many online stores sell these discontinued models at a low cost. You can buy them for temporary use.
Both machines deliver consistent and well-balanced coffee cups; each requires its kind of capsules and offers a different brewing process. VertuoLine models use the Centrifusion technique, while OriginalLine machines use 19-bar high-pressure pumps.
Many third parties produce Nespresso-compatible capsules, which are the best alternative for Nespresso pods such as Rava, Lavazza, Artisan, Colonna, and much more.
