It is our review for Orafio Nespresso pods VertuoLine. We brewed drinks with this sumptuous pod and decided to share its striking features.
Overall score: 90/100
When Orafio glowed in our cup with its warm cereal and roasted notes, we smelled the aroma of Latin American Arabica and Ugandan Robusta from the cup. With ⅕ acidity, ¾ roastiness, ⅗ bitterness, ⅖ body, 6/11 intensity, and 50 – 60 mg caffeine content, this coffee has colored our palate. Carrying a delicious caramel note and lingering with a long finish, this complex coffee is worth it.

When I brewed Nespresso Orafio, it glowed in my cup with warm roasted cereal notes. Its aroma indicated Latin American Arabicas with a touch of Ugandan Robusta beans. Orafio delivered me a light-bodied espresso with low bitterness and acidity. Each sip graces my palate with spicy, caramel, woody, and earthy notes. It was a lingering drink, and In the end, the long-lasting bitter taste stayed for a long time. No doubt, Orafio delivers a luxurious and pure gold coffee.
We have focused on ten major features of Nespresso Orafio. These features are enough to differentiate it from all other Nespresso pods. These features help us understand how Ugandan-originated Orafia differs from Brazilian or other originated Nespresso pods. By studying these features, we know whether we take this light drink in summers, winters, mornings, or evenings. Let’s study these features in detail.
Nespresso Orafio is a blend of Ugandan Robusta and Brazilian and Costa Rican Arabica beans. This blend delivers light-bodied drinks with a hint of acidity and hits your palate with cereal and caramel notes.
In Nespresso Orafio, the Robusta beans are lightly roasted for a longer time, while Arabica beans are dark roasted for a short time. This dark and light roast delivers complex coffee without any harshness. It graced my palate with spicy, liquorice, and malty notes.
When I brewed Orafio coffee, its earthy and woody aroma spread, I again smelled its scent as I liked the earthy smell after the rain. When I took a sip, the warm cereal and caramel aroma hinted at light roasted Arabica and Robusta blend. The low bitterness and a hint of acidity relieved me for a few moments.
Acidity adds dimension and brightness to the coffee, but in Orafio drink, you barely find acidity. Caramelly, warm cereal notes, and Robusta beans’ light and long roast mask its acidity.
Each coffee cup offers a different level of bitterness; you feel caramel, fresh fruit, honey-like sweetness, or maple syrup. The Orafio has a low level of bitterness due to light and long roasting Arabica and Robusta beans. It delivers light-bodied coffee with ashy, woody, liquorice, and spicy notes.
Nespresso Orafio delivered smooth and light-bodied espresso shots. The body is the weight of the coffee you feel on your tongue. Either you feel it light like skim milk or heavy like whipped cream. When I drank the Orafio cup, the smooth and light texture sat luxuriously on my tongue and relaxed my throat with ashy, caramelly, and cereal notes.
Nespresso pods always fulfill your caffeine needs. Its one capsule contains about 80 mg of caffeine and is enough for one standard coffee cup. Orafio is a VertuoLine capsule with less caffeine and coffee content. When we measured it in our lab, we found 50-60 mg of caffeine in this great Nespresso pod.
When I took a sip of this luxurious Orafio coffee, I came across warm cereal and an earthy aroma. The woody, caramelly and malty notes hit my palate. In another sip, the spicy and liquorice notes graced my palate. I took sip after sip, and I experienced a new flavor in each sip. Orafio delivered a cup of complex flavors much like the Nespresso Diavolitto and Voltesso.
Intensity is the level of acidity and bitterness in your drink, as Orafio possesses low acidity and mild bitterness, so it offers average intensity. The light and long roasting of Ugandan Robusta and Brazilian and Costa Rican Arabica beans delivered light-bodied espresso shots. The light roasting soothed your nose with an earthy and woody aroma and graced your palate with spicy and malty notes.
When I finished my Orafio coffee, I felt a bitter taste for a long time. The drink was smooth, complex, luxurious, and lingering. Its woody and warm cereal aroma and spicy, ashy, and liquorice notes are still preserved in my mind. Orafio is a lavish Nespresso capsule that forces you to demand cup after cup, and each time it will never disappoint you. Besides this, I loved the sweet chocolatey finish of Nespresso Il Caffe the most.
Nespresso Orafio is an VertuoLine pod only brewed with Nespresso VertuoLine machines. Vertuo machines offer six brew sizes.
Nespresso Orafio is a VertuoLine capsule that delivers a 1.35 oz light and balanced espresso shot. We also brew other cup sizes with it, but we got only a watery drink. So, it is better to brew only traditional espresso shots with Orafio.
We found that the Nespresso pod coffee machine is an affordable brewing system compared to regular visits to coffee shops that are expensive and time-consuming. Although you cannot estimate how much you can save by staying and brewing at home. If a person spends $4 at a local coffee house, but if he buys Keurig or Nespresso capsules, how much money he will save is shown in the table below.
Capsule or pod | Cost, 1 Serving | Cost, 365 Servings | Savings Over Coffee Shop |
Keurig K-Cup | $0.35-$0.65 | $219 | $1,241 |
Nespresso Vertuo | $0.90-$1.25 | $402 | $1,058 |
Nespresso Original | $0.70-$0.85 | $292 | $1,168 |
Coffee Shop | $3.50-$4.50 | $1,460 | $0 |
The above table shows that if you brew your desired milk and coffee recipes with Nespresso Orafio at home, you can save up to 80% of your money. Not only with Nespresso Orafio, but you can save the same amount with any of the OriginalLine or VertuoLine pods.

I can’t weigh Orafio in gold, but I will definitely say that if you want to eat and you can’t, then you should eat Orafio. It will benefit you as much as eating gold can.
It is a finely balanced blend of Brazilian and Costa Rican Arabica coffees specially formulated for espresso. When I first tasted it, I knew from the first sip that it was a complex coffee. I felt caramel notes in it which lingered in my mouth for a long time. For me this was a luxurious coffee as before I was used to third party capsules that I brewed with my Assenza Mini.
We tested seven Nespresso pods in the Nespresso Vertuo Espresso range: Il Caffè, Orafio, Toccanto, Diavolitto, Altissio, Altissio Decaffeinato, and Voltesso capsules. These are all delicious flavors, but the light roast Voltesso, Altissio and Altissio Decaffeinato remain our favorite pods that offer exceptional coffee.
Suppose your choice may depend on the flavors of the Nespresso pods, so if you prefer:
With a smooth and velvety texture and beautifully complex in its roasted and sweet cereal notes, Il Caffe Nespresso is a strong and intense coffee. It prepares a thick, velvety, creamy, intense, full-bodied cup with intricate woody and cocoa fragrance hints. You will feel the touch of a soft, silky drink on your tongue with a thick, velvety crema for the first few sips, but as the crema diminishes, a spicy, peppery bitterness will prevail over the taste.

When I filled my cup with a Nespresso Toccanto VertuoLine capsule I smelled the Latin American Arabicas. It is a wildly aromatic juicy coffee that brought candied and winey fruit notes to my palate; thanks to Nespresso Toccanto.
When I brewed Nespresso Melozio with my Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe, its pleasant aroma tickled my nostrils. I understand it is a blend of the Brazilian Bourbon Arabica beans. Moreover, it delighted my palate with its honeyed sweetness and the hallmark smooth cereal notes.
Well balanced, round coffee that revealed biscuity notes on my palate with its first sip. The aromatic bscuity notes of Brazilian Bourbon coffee and Colombian coffee are enough to delight my throat. I use Voltesso mild long coffee capsules every morning when making a homemade iced macchiato.
When I brewed Altissio Nespresso Capsule with my VertuoLine machine, its velvety crema sits luxuriously on my palate. The dark aroma of the Latin American beans traveled fast from my cup to me and spread in my bedroom. The full- bodied and bold espresso drink cloaked in a creamy cereal note and delighted my tongue.
