Place a large ceramic mug on the drip tray, but don’t use a K-Cup portion pack because this procedure doesn’t involve brewing coffee. Instead, choose the largest brew volume available on your machine and hit the brew button to begin the flow of the descaling solution. Lift the handle just enough to stop the brewing process and leave the device for 40 minutes as the solution exits the brewer.
